Day 273 Saturday 29th September:

The weather has been lovely today. We went to Canterbury and had a good look round and found the Art Gallery and Library so we just had to go in.
There was an exhibition of Henry Moore that was really interesting and certainly helped me to understand his art better than I had done. His drawings were so interesting and his art work made you want to stroke it. It had big signs asking you not to touch and I can understand why.
Of course we ended up in the local history area of the library and found some very interesting facts about Kent in the past, including the History of Broome Park where we are staying.

We also bought a Hello Kitty fancy dress, complete with wings and a head band with ears for our great granddaughter, Sian, who was 2 yesterday. I can't believe how time flies, it only seems like yesterday when she was born.
I didn't do too well with stripes as I forgot to look while we were out but I've got a photo Roland took while I was still asleep this morning.

The View from our window

There was a painting in the gallery
of the hall looking down from the hill in the distance.

Stripes?

Could we call these stripes?
 Or these?

Thought you might like a laugh.
