Day 256 Wednesday 12th September:

I seem to have been behind with my days and hadn't realised. I had a look back and found I had done day 247 twice so I've finally sorted it out and I should now be the same as everyone else.( if that's at all possible)
I started the day peeling, slicing and freezing 5 1/2 lbs of apples and made 2lbs of apple sauce that I have also frozen in small cartons.
Then Roly rang to ask us if we could look after Oliver for a while as they had found damp on the chimney breast and need to drill into the wall to see where the damp was coming from. Oliver is quite frightened of noise and we didn't want brick dust getting on his chest so he came to stay with us for a few hours until it was sorted out and all the dust was cleared up. His daddy came to pick him up at about 7pm. So that was an unexpected and lovely surprise today.

KathiJoe, It would be great to meet everyone eventually. It would be good to meet as a group but I'm happy to meet people one by one. With Roland and I being retired we can travel as long as I don't expect Roland to do too much driving at once. I live in Lancashire near the M6. I know where Lynne and Anne are but where are the rest of you?

  5. Well I am the farthest SW down near Penzance if you ever get this way and probably Jen is the closest to me. I sometimes get the chance to get out of here if Col has people to visit so yes, maybe one or two together is more feasible. I'd love to see anyone who does come our way.. x
