Day 252 Sunday 9th September:

Another quiet day today. I don't like shopping on Sunday as I can do it through the week but today I needed some flour for my baking as I hadn't realised I was nearly out. So of course while I was there I found other things I needed, dried fruit etc.

I baked my cake then sat down to look through the notes for LSNED. That's as far as I got though. Roland says I have too much to do to do it but I find it is something else that makes me think along with our prompts.

Roland went down to mums house to cut some trees down with one of our friends, John, who has a woodburning stove. Apparently John took a trailer load of wood home as well as a boot full of logs. It's great that someone can use the wood instead of it lying to rot.
Feet
These feet were meant for climbing

Three feet are 36" which make a yard.

Before and after pictures of the trees
just one more to go.

A toadstool in the grass. I think it is an edible one but we are not going to try it

  1. I watch too many Star Trek, when I saw the 3 feet I immediately thought " Oh Aliens !", lol.
There are many mushrooms in the park too. I spotted my first Ammanita Phalloides a couple of years ago, the red with white spots ones, I had never seen one before excepted on a picture and I was pretty excited, I must try to locate my photo ! xx
