Day 246 Sunday 2nd September:

A quiet day today, I've done some reading, looked at some craftwork ( my Mojo has gone at the moment).
and soaked some fruit for my eggless, sugarless, fatless cake. I can bake it tomorrow as the fruit has to soak overnight. I'm really into baking at the moment since I got my new oven. I haven't baked much for years but trying out a new oven has really inspired me to try again.
I got the recipe from an Animal and Shire Horse sanctuary a couple of years ago. I am trying to change the flour for my gluten free flour and haven't quite got the recipe right yet but I'm getting there.
The funny thing today was that I went and mixed the flour with the fruit before adding the water and orange so Roland and I spent some time sieving the flour out of the fruit. It took a little time but we got most of it out and it is now soaking.
I forgot to say yesterday that I have started the Shimmelle Learn Something New Everyday. Anne reminded about it on Saturday so Thank you Anne.

I need some ribbons for my project so I decided this was a good opportunity to choose them.
