A day of shopping and baking today.
We couldn't get to fix the gutters at mums house today again, it was too windy.
I got quite upset this morning as I need some tablets before I go away and needed to order them today. I phoned to order them and got a recording to say the number had changed. when I rang that number and pressed the number I needed I was told the number was busy. I was upset by this time as there was only 15 mins before the line closed for tablets. I drove down to the surgery and waited for 10 mins to speak to a receptionist as they were all busy and while I was waiting the phone was going all the time. I was then told that I couldn't book an appointment for next month for my 6 monthly review as now you can only book on the same day or one week in advance. Ringing to get an appointment is really hard work to get through so it looks like I'm going to have to write a letter of complaint. I very rarely go to the doctor but it is always a problem when I need to.
Rant over.
We then went food shopping and when we got back I did some baking.

The pastry is cracked as GF pastry needs to stand after you have mixed it and I forgot
I too get annoyed about the drs, we have the same system you need to ring on the day you want the appointment which isnt always practical, they usually manage to fit you in though. We also have a number to ring which isnt included in the normal 'free' phone calls, but I have found a local number and now use that. Sounds like a nice baking day and the ground level photo is lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove your sink garden.. and your rant..! I used to work for a doctors and loved it, but maybe it was mainly because I knew it was only for my uni holidays and not forever! You would think that we could get some better systems in this age wouldn't you?

ReplyDeleteWe are lucky with our Surgery because we can book appointments via Internet. That does mean they have free appointments, lol but at least we don't waste our time on the phone. Ask yours if they are part of patient.co.uk, then you could register ! xxx

I am fortunate at the moment to have a surgery without this appointment arrangement but most peeps I know it is the same problem!! Glad you are writing to complain xx
