Day 318 Tuesday 13th November:

Hair day then we went to get meat from our butcher to fill our freezer.
I had a phone cal this afternoon to say that there is now a memorial service for my exhead in the parish where she ran her school. She started the school as an infant school then later a junior wing was added. We had a great time (apart from when we had no heating) watching the juniour department and the new hall being built. We got a great deal of maths, english, art and science out of it.  The service is at 9.20, another early start. I know my friend Pauline won't be able to go as it is on the 22nd and she is off to Tenerife on the 20th.

Thoughtful

Our Butcher was thoughtful in carrying our meat out to the car.
He is a lovely man and he has a great assistant who always cracks a joke and teases me.
