With gunpowder,treason and plot.

Do you remember learning this when you were young. I have always been interested in History and Bonfire and Guy Fawkes has always fascinated me and the fact that the burning of the pope was replaced by Guy Fawkes. They were really bloodthirsty times, but were they worse than now when you look at what is still happening in our world.
It has been a wonderful day today, perfect for our prompt.
I walked through the park to visit a friend who wanted to borrow a stamp of mine. When I got there she had set up a craft table so we could do a bit of crafting.
The walk was really enjoyable with the crafting It was a lovely afternoon. We had a play at making flowers. I need more play then I will post a picture.
Tonight we, of course, have had more fireworks (the last night I hope) and Stella is once again sat by my elbow with no thought of going out. I think it will be a day or two yet before she attempts to go out in the evening again.

ReplyDeletereading your poem I suddenly remembered how I passed my driving test on the 5th November (a few years ago now :) ) Evie has found a bit out about 5th nov from school so she has been informing me :) Sounds like a lovely day you have had and beautiful pictures of the park.

It was nice to have a crisp chilly november day rather than the wet ones we have had the past two years. I am ashamed to say that I was too tired to wander out to see any.
