Day 315 Saturday 10th November:

Yesterday, when I was reading all your blogs, I suddenly thought how my blogs have changed since we began. I started by just recording our days for just Roland and I so we could remember this year but as time went on and I you all became friends I find that I am also writing my blog for you. It is strange how ones outlook changes.
I wonder if we could organise a meeting. I know Lynne knows a place she has been to and I know a place friends have been to on an embroidery retreat I am sure if you would like a weekend together of nattering and perhaps crafting we could find somewhere. You probably know places as well so we could find somewhere central. It is just an idea.

Today I rang my friend, who makes curtains for people, to check I had got the right measurements for my curtains and she told me of a place in Burnley that sells curtain material much cheaper than R&B so we have decided to visit that before I decide. She also said I could lay the material on her work table as, of course, it is made for curtains.
We were just about to go and take the curtain samples back when we had a lovely surprise. Roly, Louise and little Oliver turned up. I'd mentioned to Roly earlier in the week that we hadn't seen them for a while. Little Oliver had a monk on today and was quite naughty. I think he was tired. They stayed for a while and we had a good natter.
We then went and took the samples back and did some shopping in Asda on the way back.

The weather was lovely today, a good day for a walk or getting in the garden. If it is the same tomorrow It will be gardening for me. R&B is in a village where we used to go for walks up to the moors so we did a bit of reminiscing today.

Warm
Oliver was lying on the floor, drawing, and I got the quillow out for him as he was tired.
He didn't go to sleep but he snuggled into the quillow to keep warm.
I need to get cracking making them for christmas.

  5. It looks so cosy. We've all bought fleeces that look like lambs wool this year- everyone who's seen one has wanted to buy one!

  7. Just catching up, my crew say 'having a monk on' I think it is very descriptive! I would love to meet up, SW would suit me or south but I realise you are very north some of you. Maybe as you and Lynne are less busy you could get down this way and Jen and I could get towards Anne..maybe we should chat about it on our group on UKS next year. I have a pal who runs scrap weekends so she knows lots of venues and also Jen goes to some..x
