Day 292 Thursday 18th October:
It's been a good day for me today. Shaun popped in to see us at lunch time and stayed for a long chat then we went to pay my coach fare for a trip to Liverpool to visit "the allergy + free from" show. It is the first time it has come up north and a great opportunity to go and see it. I also found a friend to come with me and that is even better.

On the way to pay for my coach seat, down Station Road (our main street) we were diverted as there had been a chemical spillage at a printing works in the old fire station. When we first saw it we had no idea what was going on just that there were a lot of police cars fire engines, ambulances and lots of fire men and police men.
As soon as we got back home we grabbed a camera and went for a walk to find out what had happened.
Unfortunately we found a man had been hurt and had to go to hospital. It also meant that an easy shot for the prompt had gone as our buses had been diverted out of the village. We normally have one going through every 10mins both ways.

I also finished my book about Vera by Ann Cleaves called "The Crow Trap". I think she is a brilliant writer, I got completely immersed in the book and didn't think about the TV programme much at all. the book went into the background of Vera more than the TV programme and the place she lived wasn't a bit like on the programme. The plot left me guessing to the end. I am going to look out for more of Ann Cleaves books

Public Transport

But no service bus

Could you call this Public Transport?

Or the police van?

The next group of pictures is from the spillage

Look at the blue sky over all the drama.

Such businesses must be far from population centers./ That's why I go every day./
I hope that man will be OK.
