It rained in the morning, then ,believe it or not, the sun came out.
We drove down to Cromer to get some meat to make sandwiches for our journey back tomorrow, then parked in town to have a last look around.
As the weather was good we decided to climb the church tower, 172 steep steps. The view from the top was worth every step.
We found some pictures for the prompt Modern.
The church tower we climbed
A modern church window donated in 1953 after
a German bomber blew the original window out during World War 2.
Views from the tower
A modern building being built in the middle of the old ones
The lighthouse in the distance with the rooves of the relatively modern buildings
of the Country Cub in front of it

This church is magnificient. Glad you had nice holidays !
ReplyDeletelovely pictures, pleased you had a good last day of your holiday. Well done on climbing all those steps too, worth it for the view then.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful window.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the climb. If they were spiral stairs- I would have had a panic attack on the way down! I love to see the views- but I'm terrible with spiral staircases!
They were spiral Kim. there was a rail on one side and a rope down the narrow side
