The town was very busy and we couldn't decide where to stand to watch it The promenade was already crowded even though the torch wasn't due to arrive until after 4pm. There was all kinds of entertainment there but as we couldn't see anything it was a waste of time us staying there.
Anyway we found a brilliant place where we could see all the way up the street where the torch was being carrried into town. As it happened there were so many buses etc in front of the lady carrying the torch we didn't really see her until she was very close.
As soon as the torch had passed we then walked to the other side of town to see the torch being carried out of the town by a gentleman. There was a bus carrying all the torch bearers who were carrying the torch through the town.
I'm really glad we saw it as we'll never get the chance to see such a spectacle again.
For the prompt today we saw quite a few examples of
Dangerous.
Can you see the hedge trimmers at his feet?
The tools are properly laid down but there is no one in sight to make sure that no one played with them.
A painter getting ready for the Summer.
Waiting for the torch procession.
At last the torch coming into Cromer
And going out
Finally one for Anne.
Can you see the cherub blowing the other clouds across the sky?

ReplyDelete/ I will live to see such a spectacle - carrying The Olympic torch ...
When I was a kid I believed that there will be a Winter Olympics here in our country. But this is impossible ..
Now perhaps you understand how excited I am when I read this./
Wow, the cherub is adorable. Great take on the word. I love the posts on the torch procession on English blogs. The idea of the bus carrying the torch bearers is really lovely.
