Day 184 Monday 2nd July: We went to the dogs today, literally.

This morning we walked down into Cromer and looked for shadows. Unfortunately the sky was overcast and no sign of the sun.
We had a wander round the town and pier then went into the RNLI cafe, it had a lovely view over the sea and the food was really good.
I found some bags in a shop on the front that I had been thinking of getting from Kendal for the family. They are canvas bags from the good bag company. www.thegoodbagco.com.
I love them and bought some last time we were in Kendal.
The sun peeped out for a short time and we managed to get some photos of Shadows
Tonight we went to watch greyhound racing at Great Yarmouth. I've wanted to go since I was 40  but only just got round to it.
The dogs were magnificent, running their socks off. Roland and I had a bet each on one race (a whole pound each) and didn't win, then we just chose a dog after that, We both chose a winning dog in different races. It was great fun.
We had bought a meal with the entrance ticket and watched the first races from the restaurant while we ate. The chef made me a special GF Banoffee pie and I was thrilled to bits as I usually can't eat a dessert when we eat out.

Shadows in Cromer

The Magnificant Greyhounds

Wonderful Banoffee Pie (without the pie)

The Tote( just starting to write the odds for the next race)

The tractor smoothing the sand ready for the next race
(note the weight on the back)

We've decided tomorrow we need to cut down on what we eat.
