Day 149 Monday 28th May: Roland and I went into the office today to take in some paper for the printer and to meet Colin, who is our chairman. Yesterday we booked tickets to travel on a Steam Train over the Settle viaduct to Carlisle, and wanted to take the information to Colin as he is coming with us. We're going on the 22nd August so it's quite a while away. Colin is really into steam trains ( and Classic cars - he's got 2) so should really enjoy this trip.
I've been hanging my washing in the garden and the washing has come in hard. I hate it like that as I have to iron ALL the clothes. One day I'll work out how much electricity I use ironing compared to using the drier. I'd like to think I would use less with the drier but I don't think it would work like that.
Prompt is Tools
Some of Rolands tools and my bag with some of mine
I'm the same with my dryer. I love the clothes when they come out of it, but not when they are off the line. My mum loves her washing off the line- but she's never had a tumble dryer. When we've been on holiday I always wash and dry all the towels for everyone- cos she does like the towels from the dryer!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you 2. When I hang my towels outside they come out so rough compared to having been in the dryer !
ReplyDeleteViv, I missed the post on saturday but your goodies have been sent this morning. Hopefully they will arrive soon, xx
I hate hard ironing too and pop my dry towels in the tumble drier to soften them LOL!!
ReplyDeletei use the dryer for towels, if the weather is ok they get a quick burst in the tumble before going outside which keeps them softer but if its horrible weather and i am overrun with clothes drying they dry completely in the dryer...nothing better then the smell of fresh clothes from an outside line though- as long as no one has a bbq on the go!
