Day 238 Saturday 25th August:

Yes it's Saturday with the inevitable football. The weather is not good either.
We've had thunder and lightning and the park is well and truly flooded.

Purple
Not a colour I'm keen on unless it is a flower
On of our neighbours hanging baskets looking the worst for the rain but it does have purple lobelia in it.

This was taken yesterday, not really purple but a shade of it in the Budlea.
Our butterflies love it. This peacock is one of the first coloured butterflies we have seen and very late in the season.

  3. Beautiful photos. I think I am going to buy a budlea plant- I really miss the neighbours one overhanging our garden!

  4. We had thunder and lots of rain here this afternoon. For years I've hated our budlea with vengeance but put up with it because Peter loved it. Somehow this year it doesn't seem so bad, not sure that I like it yet but definitely don't hate it.

  5. lovely butterfly, well done on getting a photo, every time I see one and get my camera out- they must see me coming as they fly away :( We have had the rain and thunder too. Hope you are feeling a little better today.
