Poor Jayne is still in hospital. They still haven't found out exactly what is wrong, now they are going to test for a Kidney infection.
Roland and went out with some friends for lunch then a little retail therapy. We had a great afternoon even though we didn't buy anything. Janet teaches modern tailoring and dressmaking. I met her when I wanted to learn the new ways of dressmaking years ago and we have become really good friends since.
The only time we can get together is in the summer holidays as she runs fewer classes then.
Any way we dragged Roland and Peter around the dress shops while we had a look at the new styles and a good inspection of how they were made. Then we finished the afternoon with a coffee at costa.
Great afternoon all round.
We looked for something
Bronze
but couldn't find anything
so Roland took this photo of some of my
Bronze Fennel
Not exactly a bronze colour but I love the colour and the seeds make great tea.

ohh that looks like a delicate plant! i love our biology lessons with you :) being german, i am used to having all sorts of "strange" flavour teas and bronze fennel sounds like a wonderfully calming tea. i used to give fennel to ds1 when we were still in germany, he was such a colicky and fidgety baby (well, we didnt know he was autistic at the time) and fennel seemed to do wonders (if not to his nerves, then at least to mine)
ReplyDeleteFennel tea is certainly calming, and really good for tummies , babies and adults.
DeleteI love that you examine the dressmaking xx
ReplyDeleteLearning a lot here, I had never heard about bronze Fennel before ! xxx
ReplyDeleteits a lovely picture. what a nice day you had too, i like the idea of examining the dressmaking.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of bronze fennel before either.
ReplyDeleteI hope Jayne is on the road to recovery soon.
