Day 214 Wednesday 1st August: Where is the year going? I think as you get older time seems to go faster.
It has been a very quiet day for me today thank goodness. This evening I went to our ME group meeting where we had a talk from the director of Galloways, a centre for the blind. It was a very interesting speech and he was very funny. He talked about the different types of blindness they deal with and had glasses so you could look through so you could see what each condition was like. The only condition I can remember is macular degeneration because my mother developed that. Apparently only 3% of blind people are blind from birth. Most of the rest of the conditions are due to old age and as we are living longer there are more and more people with these problems.
