Day 163 11th June: No rain here today but it looks dreadful in the South. Our country certainly goes from one extreme of weather to the other.I am not surprised we British talk about the weather so much. I do hope none of you blogging friends are not involved in any of the floods.

The builder was here again today. He's built the walls round the alcove and will be back tomorrow to put the plasterboard up, back Friday to plaster, then Saturday he's going to come back and build me an outside step that I have wanted for years.

We went round to look at a friends house tonight (while England was playing) to look at her kitchen. Jacquie recommended the kitchen fitter to us and we had only seen her kitchen when he was in the middle of doing it.It is lovely and she told us where she got her floor from so we will be looking there when we come to do ours.

 She also showed us the pigs, the hens and the little pony they had got in their HUGE garden. Roland was very good taking me to see her while the match was on especially as he missed the goals. Claire came round to see us this evening which was nice as we hadn't seen her for a while.

but the lady I know who makes the quilts came round as I had some embroidery threads she would find useful. I think I said before that she is well over 80 and is much fitter than I am.

She used to have a little Moped which was very old but now she has a cycle that looks quite new.
